Family Pics 2009

There is nothing more difficult than trying to take pictures of your own family! :) When it is other people that I am trying to shoot, they sure do listen a whole lot better. None the less, it is worth it to me to get us all put together and capture some memories. Here is to 365 days before we have to do it all over again! :)

Remembering a Special Day...

Talk about the most gorgeous girl ever! Her brilliant hair and perfect little face made for some stunning shots. These were her "baptism" pics and she just looked so pretty in her white dress. She was a perfect model and didn't give me any grief on anything I asked her to do. A photographers dream! :)

This package includes a one hour photo shoot and Image CD (with 100% printing rights) with ALL pictures taken at the session. A good choice when you are looking for some great shots but don't want editing or enhancements.

"These are a few of my favorite things"

This package includes a one hour photo shoot, Image CD (with 100% printing rights) with ALL pictures taken at the session. You pick your favorite photos that you would like edited and pay $5 per image. This price also includes a b&w, sepia, or vignette enhancement. A good choice when you are just looking for a few pictures and want them to look their best.

"The Whole Tamale"

This package includes a 1 hour photo shoot, 10 pictures of your choice edited (color enhancement, teeth whitening, skin softening, blemish correction, eye sharpening, etc), 10 enhancements (black and white, vignette, sepia, text, collage, etc) and CD (with 100% printing rights) with ALL pictures taken at session. A great choice when you are looking for a lot of pictures and a lot of different looks.

My Journey, My Story...

My journey really began when I became a Mom. Of course, to me, my child was the cutest thing there ever was. He changed so much and so fast, I just had to capture those moments. So, we would march on down to a local retail store and they would prop him up on a rickety old chair against a backdrop with footprints all over it, get my kid to crack a smile, blind him with a flash and there you had it. Back then, I didn't know any better, those pictures were PERFECT. Then I had our second child and once again I starting marching him down for the same old song and dance...but then I starting looking at the pictures. They were lacking something. Where was the energy and the emotion? Yeah, my kid looked evenly exposed and was smiling but there was just something so...STALE. So, I starting devouring everything I could about the wonderful and never ending world of photography. I was hooked. When the opportunity to get the camera of my dreams presented itself, I was beyond thrilled. I had a permanent indention of the viewfinder in my forehead and I couldn't have been happier. Whoever penned the phrase, "Pictures are priceless!" Never had it so right!

So that is why I take pictures: Not only because it brings me pure joy and a creative outlet (because I can't even draw a stick figure!) but it also gives me the chance to capture the light, the emotion, the energy, and the happiness that is in us all.
